This is different from brand to brand.
Most brands pay a percentage of what you spend with them as a donation. This percentage may by different from brand to brand. For example, if you spend £150 on a hotel with booking.com via easyfundraising, booking.com will donate 3% to Life, which is £4.50.
On the other hand, some brands pay a flat amount. For example, if you buy car insurance with confused.com via easyfundraising, confused.com will donate £15 regardless of how much the policy cost.
