About the E-commerce Assistant Volunteer role
Volunteer Manager: E-Commerce Trading Manager
Available locations: Walsall
Commitment: Minimum two hours per week; we’d love it if you could do more. Shifts vary and can be between one and seven hours long. You can agree timings with your volunteer manager. Our E-Commerce trading centre is open five days a week.
What you'll be doing
- Researching the value of donated items ready for them to be listed.
- Taking images of donated items and listing them to be sold.
- Packaging items that have sold.
- Responding to customer queries.
- Checking through media and books that are ready to be scanned.
As a way of saying thank you, all Retail volunteers get a 20% discount when buying items in our Life Shops.
What you'll need
- A friendly and helpful attitude.
- The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good listening and communication skills.
- Patience, sensitivity, and reliability.
- Basic computer and photography skills, though we will teach these.
- Attention to detail.
- A desire to learn new skills or develop existing skills.
- Honesty, integrity, commitment, and trustworthiness.
No formal experience is needed – we provide all the training!
