About the Content Creation Volunteer role
Volunteer Manager: Head of Brand, Communications and Marketing
Available locations: Remote / home based
(with an opportunity for occasional team creative sessions in the Midlands or South West)
Commitment: Hours flexible – minimum 6 hours per month
What you'll be doing
We are inviting you to help us build a strong presence online and on social media by creating content with our templates and support. We want you to help us share the stories of our clients and our work; to inspire others to support our work and to reach as many people as possible with how to reach us if they are looking for help and support around any pregnancy related issue.
You will receive support in your professional and creative development in design, content writing, video editing and marketing, and all the tools you need to create great, on-brand content as well as a certificate to testify to your professional skills and contribution.
Your Skills
No formal experience is needed, but an interest in marketing, media and communications (particularly on social media) is an advantage.
- Good communication, listening and interpersonal skills.
- The confidence to share ideas with others.
- Good digital design, photography, video and writing skills, or the ability to learn quickly through training.
- A basic understanding of social media algorithms.
- A willingness to engage with people from all backgrounds.
- The ability to read sometimes emotional stories from our clients and create short content items from blogs or other material provided.
- Basic IT skills (including the use of email and online video conferencing platforms) as well as confidence in using the internet and social media channels.
- Ability to work independently and use your initiative.
- The commitment to attend video calls with the marketing team members when agreed, or to inform us as early as possible if you can’t make a meeting or professional training session.

Key Tasks
All with the support of an experienced and friendly marketing team:
- To learn our brand guide and voice and become familiar with all the forms of support we offer people facing unexpected pregnancy journeys, including loss and post-abortion issues.
- To create compelling copy for social media and other short communications.
- To use our templates to design new social media posts and other images on Canva – we will give you access to our Canva pro team!
- To support the Brand, Communications and Marketing team in generating ideas for our WhatsApp community and social media campaigns.
- To film videos on your own device, if you are a talented or aspiring videographer, and do basic editing, branding and design.
- To participate in our WhatsApp community.
An Enhanced DBS check is not required for this role.
