How you make a difference

You’ll helping us to give life-changing support to thousands of women and families facing unexpected pregnancy or pregnancy loss in the UK. 

At some of the most difficult and critical times in a woman’s life, we step in with real, practical help.From a secure and safe home, and essential baby supplies, to emotional and professional support, Life walks alongside women and families when they need it most.

What you'll be doing

  • Distributing leaflets and posters in your local supermarkets, shops or community centres etc.
  • Encourage individuals to sign up to Life fundraising events and challenges.
  • Identifying and reaching out to potential groups/clubs/churches about a talk.
  • Giving talks to members of the community about the work that Life does using the language and training provided by Life.
  • Attending ad hoc events organised by the fundraising team.
  • Encourage people to fundraise for life and promote other ways to get involved.

*Please note this role is flexible, and you can choose which elements you feel comfortable with doing. 

The skills you'll need

  • Friendly and approachable.
  • Reliable.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence in speaking in front of an audience.
  • Comfortable speaking about what we do as a charity.
  • The ability to have sensitive conversations with supporters.

You must be over 18 years old.

What we need from you:

A Disclosure and Barring Service Check for this voluntary role is not required. 

We do ask for two references as part of our commitment to safer recruitment, and that you go through money laundering check procedures, as you may be handling cash or other donations. You will also need to uphold our values and the agreement for volunteering with us.
